LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THIS UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED 1996 LITTLE HARBOR 51 YACHT.
One of only 4 of it's type constructed by Ted Hood at the Hood Yard in Maine, this solid-built vessel was designed for short-handed performance cruising, as proven by the current owner's circumnavigation in 2018; ALL SOLO with the exception of three shorter legs and one additional crew member and can be viewed at https://share.garmin.com/johnbouma. Since completing the circumnavigation, there have been multiple passages to the Caribbean - all completed with only two crew onboard.
Constructed of Vinylester, this is a strong hull with none of the typical concerns for blistering.
This vessel has undergone a constant series of upgrades of all systems, including new refrigeration (2020) and 3-zone air conditioning (2017). All electronics have been upgraded with Raymarine and to the most recent firmware exclusively, including Axiom displays, quantum radar, autopilot, and AIS.
The owner upgraded to lithium batteries (1200amphrs) in 2024.
All lighting is LED, and with 960 W of solar power, most cruising can be done without running the engine or generator.
There are numerous custom elements of this beautiful yacht including a bar, a boarding ladder, fender holders, and USB outlets throughout the vessel.
The engine is a powerful 160 HP Yanmar with 2700 hours that the owner has meticulously maintained. Carrying 200 g of diesel, and 400 g of water, this yacht will easily cross oceans or all for extended cruising without the need for shoreside connections.
She is ready and available for any discerning owner to distance shores in safety and style!!
