The Lien Hwa Yard was chosen for their quality construction and have also built vessels for Little Harbor Yachts. Although designed to look like a classic 1920's Motorsailer Gatsby is a modern yacht. Her second knowledgeable owner (see owner's comments) has made numerous improvements and upgrades during his stewardship. Gatsby's Yanmar 100 hp Turbo Diesel capable of achieving 10 knots or can be motored at 6 to 7 knots at 2200 RPM's consuming 7/8 gallons of diesel per hour. The dual Joystick Controls and Bow Thruster allow for excellent maneuvering in tight conditions. Gatsby modernized features include a Fiberglass hull, a Northern Lights Generator, 3 Air Conditioners, Washer Dryer, Ice Maker in the Bar, Tanbark Fully Batten Sails that rolled up into the booms, Self-tending Jib, Electric Halyard Winch, Bow Thruster, Electric Windlass etc. In other words, the perfect yacht for a couple to enjoy comfortable cruising.
