The Liberty 458 is a semi custom very high end Taiwanese built boat designed by Peter Hoyt and built in the Shin Fa yard. The Hoyt family wanted to provide people with a safe and affordable bluewater cruiser and based the hull design off the more well known Peterson 44. These boats are well known for exceptional sailing performance distinguishing themselves by being comfortable windward sailors and we all know the wind always comes from the bow!

There were only 31 Liberty 458s built in the 80s making this one of the later models, hull number 27. Since every one of these boats were semi custom there are unique features in each one built. Most notable with this boat is the 7’ headroom and flat sole making it all one level down below. The high headroom makes the salon feel incredibly spacious.

Current owners have owned the boat since 2008 and have heavily outfitted this boat with top of the line equipment. Notable upgrades include the bow thruster, autohelm and a BRAND NEW DECK! All the old teak decking was removed, re-glassed and non-skidded this past year. All the electronics have been upgraded and this boat is ready to go when you are.
