Designed by Bill Tripp and built by A. LeComte of Holland known for their quality construction, sold glass hull, Airex-cored decks and high quality yacht interiors. The Northeast 38 is a vessel of elegant simplicity and sea kindly sailing characteristics. DELPHI is the Mk III version with mast more aft and features a Spade Rudder. A head turner in any harbor; A true Classic, heirloom vessel.
Entering down the three steps of the companionway you will find a well laid-out Galley to port with with a three (3) burner propane range with oven and broiler, a SS galley sink with Hot & cold pressure water and a deep ice box with Adler Barbour Refrigeration. Opposite to starboard, convenient to the companionway is the Navigation Station with large chart table with lifting lid for chart storage, a sliding stool and room for electronics. Moving forward to the Main Salon there is a drop leaf dining table, port and starboard settees each with pilot berth above and outboard, there is a large overhead hatch w/screen. Continuing forward to starboard you will find a Dutch Tiled, Solid Fuel, Cabin Heater. Continuing forward to port is the Ship's Head with a Sealand Traveler Fresh Water Toilet w/internal 9 gal. holding tank. Opposite to starboard is a good size hanging locker. Moving forward through the main bulkhead privacy door is the Stateroom, you will find a large V-berth (with Filler) a hanging locker to starboard with a chest of drawers opposite to port with a cabinet above and additional storage drawers under the berth. there is a large overhead hatch with screen for light and ventilation.
