About Lazzara Yachts Group:

Lazzara Yachts Group was founded by Dick Lazzara, a second generation master boat builder in the early 90's. The first prototype 76' motor yacht was christened in 1992 at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida. The early models were built on nearby Salt Creek. The industry recognized that Lazzara Yachts was doing something special, and sales took off overnight. The first design went on to be one of the most successful motor yachts ever produced. A new home in Tampa gave Lazzara the property they needed to grow, in a facility that was ahead of its time. And what a recognized property it was. Lazzara's new neighbors were Trident, and Westship, two of the greatest custom manufacturers of fine yachts in the world at the time. This helped develop a great pool of talented boat builders. Up came Dick's middle son Joe. In the mid two thousands, Joe was showing promise in following in his fathers footsteps. Joe was given an opportunity, and soon designed the first of the Lazzara Yachts express models, the LSX 75, which was a huge success. Later Joe designed the LSX 78, and the LSX 92, along with several other motor yachts.

The last Lazzara Yachts were delivered in 2013 at the Tampa shipyard. Joe then lead the charge to acquire the Lazzara trademark and intellectual property while searching for a new shipyard capable of executing to the level of super yachts. A new shipyard and team was formulated with some of the key personnel including now director of PDE, Ian Ombres. All design and engineering are conducted from the Tampa headquarters, as well as sales and service. The new partners, Euro Marine Group, gave Joe the financial strength to build a comeback. The final ingredient to be successful was a vertical integrated shipyard and a former German super yacht furniture facility. With two yachts under construction and the start of the third one shortly, Joe plans to build a few yachts per year that set the industry standard for innovation, while providing the highest level of customer support and applying what he has learned over twenty years in the business as a third generation yacht builder.

Joe will rebuild the stellar reputation their family has. I know he will. He has the passion of his father and grandfather before him. Joe has never stopped working. I have personally witnessed Joe answer questions from Lazzara owners and their crews about their boats. Even in the hardest of economic times, he cared enough to help, every time.

Now, as President of Lazzara Yachts Group whose design work is recognized and admired worldwide, Joe is back.
