Overview

The 2006 Larson LXI 268 is a 26-foot bow rider that combines spaciousness, luxury, and performance. Designed to offer the feel of a larger boat while maintaining the handling characteristics of a smaller runabout, it delivers quick planing capabilities, a smooth and dry ride, and versatility suitable for water sports. Its all-new high-style interior and thoughtful amenities position it as a top contender in its class.

Exterior Design and Deck Features

The Larson LXI 268 features a well-integrated bow ladder, a feature typically found on deck boats, complete with its own cover and rope storage beneath. The bow seating is a roomy wraparound layout upholstered in premium soft vinyl, complemented by stainless steel handholds and cup holders. Deeper seats near the windshield enhance passenger safety, while additional storage is available under both port and starboard seats. An innovative cushion fills the center walkway to create a large sun pad at the bow, with stainless steel window supports doubling as handholds. The deck is finished with 24-ounce marine-grade snap-in carpets and includes a large ski storage compartment.

Helm and Passenger Area

The helm area is spacious and ergonomically designed, featuring an automotive-inspired instrument panel with white and black gauges and European styling. Lighted toggle switches manage the electrical systems, and the optional Captain's Call exhaust system from Corsa Performance allows the operator to alter the engine sound from mellow to throaty at the push of a button. Powered by a 320-horsepower Volvo Penta 5.7-liter V8 engine, the boat achieved a top speed of 51.1 miles per hour at 5,200 RPM during testing. The most economical cruising speed was found to be approximately 26.5 miles per hour at 3,000 RPM, providing a range exceeding 200 miles.
