Pros
Spacious Design: The Lagoon 570 is renowned for its generous living space both inside and on deck. With ample headroom and a well-thought-out layout, it provides comfort for extended cruising or entertaining guests.
Stable Performance: This catamaran features a balanced hull design that enhances stability even in choppy waters. Its wide beam contributes to reduced heel during sailing, ensuring a smooth ride.
Versatile Layout Options: The Lagoon 570 offers various interior layouts, allowing owners to customize their living spaces according to their needs. This adaptability makes it suitable for families or couples seeking a cruising lifestyle.
Built for Cruising: Designed with long-distance cruising in mind, this model comes equipped with sufficient storage, robust construction, and excellent performance under sail. Its dual engines provide reliability and maneuverability in various conditions.
Outdoor Living Spaces: The cockpit and flybridge are spacious and well-designed, offering great views and a perfect spot for relaxation or socializing while enjoying the open air.
Quality Build: Lagoon is known for its craftsmanship, and the 570 benefits from high-quality materials and construction techniques, contributing to durability and longevity.
Cons
Size and Weight: While its size offers many benefits, it can also make the Lagoon 570 less maneuverable in tight spaces or shallow waters compared to smaller boats. Parking or docking can require careful handling.
Maintenance: Owning a larger catamaran like the Lagoon 570 can entail higher maintenance costs, including sail repair, engine upkeep, and managing multiple systems on board.
Fuel Consumption: While dual engines provide reliability, they may contribute to higher fuel consumption, especially if used frequently in motoring situations rather than under sail.
Initial Investment: The Lagoon 570 is a significant investment, and while it offers considerable value, potential buyers should be prepared for the cost associated with purchase and upkeep.
Cold Weather Performance: While designed primarily for warm-water cruising, the Lagoon 570 may not perform as well in colder climates due to its design focus on maximizing airflow and outdoor space.
Limited Speed: As a cruising catamaran, speed is not its primary objective. Enthusiastic sailors seeking high-speed performance may find other designs more suitable.

Other Information about The Little Ship Company
Having started in the aircraft industry as an apprentice engineer in the mid seventies, the progression to sailboats was natural. Arriving in the Caribbean in 1981 for the first time, I was hooked on the beauty and the lifestyle. It took me more than 10 years back home to afford and rebuild my first yacht, which, after having sailed across from Africa in the early nineties, has been our permanent home. After chartering and being involved in almost all the aspects of the marine industry for over fourty years, we now have a family and don't do charters anymore.... we still have the boat though!
