Step aboard Sogno di Piu, a thoughtfully upgraded 2006 Lagoon 440 that stands apart from the pack. Over the last three years alone, her owner has invested approximately €110,000 in upgrades, transforming this already respected bluewater platform into a highly capable, self-sufficient cruising catamaran ready for serious adventure.
Built with Lagoon's proven cruising pedigree, Sogno di Piu offers the layout cruisers love: 4 double cabins, 4 private heads, generous living spaces, and one of the best flybridge helm setups in her class. The flybridge comfortably seats five and gives the helmsman full control of all sail handling, including halyards, sheets, reefing lines, traveler, and topping lift, all assisted by a Harken electric winch.
What truly sets this Lagoon apart is what's been done behind the scenes. In 2025 she received a new mast, standing rigging, running rigging, spreaders, and updated sails, major upgrades that many boats in this price range still need. Her electrical system has also been extensively modernized, featuring a 48V lithium battery bank, a 6kW Victron inverter system, solar charging, generator backup, and dual 12V and 220V systems, making her exceptionally well suited for extended off-grid cruising.
Navigation and safety are equally impressive, with dual Raymarine Axiom 9 chartplotters, Quantum 2 radar, autopilot, Starlink connectivity, EPIRB, AIS, and an updated life raft.
The galley has been converted to all electric, eliminating propane entirely, and includes modern appliances, a watermaker, reverse osmosis drinking water filtration, ample refrigeration, and everything needed to step aboard and start cruising immediately. The included dinghy has a 15hp Suzuki 4 stroke and there's even another outboard for backup. There's also two dive tanks and an onboard dive compressor. This vessel reflects an owner who spared little in preparing her for independent cruising.
If you've been searching for a Lagoon 440 that offers real upgrades, real offshore capability, and true turnkey value, Sogno di Piu deserves serious attention. This is not a tired charter boat. This is a privately upgraded cruiser, equipped and ready for her next chapter.

Spacious Layout: The Lagoon 440 features a well-designed interior with ample living space, making it comfortable for families or groups. The open-plan saloon and generous cabins provide a homely feel.
Stability: As a catamaran, it offers great stability under sail and at anchor. The wide beam reduces heeling, providing a comfortable experience even in rough waters.
Performance: Equipped with powerful sails and a streamlined hull design, the Lagoon 440 delivers good performance both under sail and engine power.
Fuel Efficiency: Its twin engines allow for better fuel efficiency compared to monohulls, making it ideal for long-distance cruising.
Outdoor Living Spaces: The large cockpit and flybridge provide excellent outdoor living areas, perfect for enjoying the sun, dining alfresco, or relaxing with friends.
Ample Storage: With numerous storage compartments, lockers, and accessible spaces, this model is great for extended sailing trips and storing gear and supplies.
Versatility: Suitable for various uses, including cruising, chartering, or living aboard, the Lagoon 440 adapts well to different sailing lifestyles.
Cons
Draft Limitations: The Lagoon 440’s draft may limit access to shallow anchorages, which can be a disadvantage in certain cruising areas.
Maintenance: Like all boats, the Lagoon 440 requires regular upkeep. Owners might find maintenance of two engines and other systems a bit more demanding compared to monohulls.
Initial Cost: While it's a valuable investment, the purchase price of a Lagoon 440 may be higher compared to similar-sized monohulls, making it less accessible for some buyers.
Windage: The tall profile of the Lagoon 440 can lead to increased windage, potentially making it harder to handle in very windy conditions.
Limited Performance for Racing: While it performs well for cruising, serious racers may find the Lagoon 440 less competitive compared to dedicated racing catamarans.
