2008 Lagoon 420 Owner's Version Diesel/Electric Hybrid Sailing Catamaran

This Lagoon 420 (Owner's Version Diesel/Electric Hybrid Sailing Catamaran) has the modern look with vertical cabin windows which makes this 2008 model fresh and new. The steering station is part of the very large outside cockpit area that has abundant seating including seating around the cockpit table. Easily maneuvered with quiet twin electric motors driving brass propellers. Only one diesel engine (generator) and three solar panels makes this catamaran easy to maintain as the Lithium Ion Batteries are long life (up to 10 years total) with approx. 8 years remaining on their charge capability.

"Glory Be" is a very capable sailing cat that has crossed the Atlantic on its own bottom and is ready to go again. Utilizing the generator and solar panels to charge the lithium Ion bank (not the original heavy wet cell batteries) every few hours, "Glory Be" can go almost 2,000 miles on one tank (80 usable gallons diesel) under power before needing to replenish diesel (for those times when the wind blows in the wrong direction). Im talking about up to 24mpg under power. The original factory model made an Atlantic crossing using only one gallon of diesel. Where else can you find a catamaran that sails and motors in comfort like this one.
