JillieD is a well-equipped Kadey-Krogen 42 that has benefited from thoughtful upgrades throughout. She also has a combination of equipment that is rarely found on this model, including hydraulic stabilization, bow and stern thrusters, and updated electronics built around a NMEA 2000 backbone.

One of the most important exterior upgrades was the removal of the original teak decks. They were replaced with a practical, low-maintenance non-skid surface, eliminating one of the more significant long-term concerns associated with boats of this era. Her cockpit cover and Bimini top are also in very good condition, providing useful protection at anchor and underway.

The Kadey-Krogen 42 remains a highly capable cruising platform, with a full-displacement hull, world-class cruising efficiency supported by generous tankage, wide walkaround decks, and a proven single-engine propulsion system.
