BROKERââ¬â¢S COMMENTS: Promise was originally designed for the Charter Business, thus the 4 cabin layout. She was in Martinique charter for only 1 ½ years. After that she was owned by a private individual who used her as his personal boat. Present owners purchased her in 1998 in Martinique and imported her to the US. This vessel has been dry sailed since 1998- she was launched only before a trip-having had more time on -the-hard than in the water; She has made 6 trips from Lake Ontario/New England area to the Caribbean from 1998 to 2013. The vessel is set up for long distance ocean passages. Owner says that this is an honest 200 mile a day vessel, with a record trip from Mystic CT to Tortola in 9 days including an 18 hour stop in Bermuda. Boat is very balanced in heavy winds. She is a Bruce Faar design.
