The new J/40 from J/Boats is a 40-foot performance cruiser that blends modern composite construction with the brand's proven offshore design philosophy. Built by J/Composites using resin infusion and a structural grid system, the boat is engineered for strength, stiffness, and long-term durability. A carbon fiber fractional rig, hydraulic backstay, and efficient deck layout give sailors precise sail control, while twin helms and a well organized cockpit make the boat practical for short-handed sailing or crewed racing. The keel configuration and balanced rudder are designed to deliver stability and control across a wide range of conditions.
Below deck, the J/40 offers a clean, contemporary interior focused on comfort and functionality. The standard two cabin layout features a spacious forward owner's cabin, generous aft cabin, and a bright main salon with wrap around seating and a fixed table. A secure U-shaped galley, forward facing navigation station, and quality joinery throughout reflect its dual purpose as both an offshore passage maker and a refined cruiser. The result is a modern 40-footer that prioritizes sailing performance, structural integrity, and livable space in equal measure.
