The J/109 is easily the best mid-thirty foot one-design racer/cruiser available on today�s market. The J/109 still has a very active class and competes very well under PHRF or IRC, all while offering a very warm, well-designed cruising interior.
This boat has over $80k of new equipment added for racing and cruising in the last three years!! Race equipment includes new electronics with a B&G Zeus 3 plotter at helm, B&G G3 radar, B&G Precision 9 Compass, NKE triple mast mounted displays and sensors, Simrad AIS, etc. The bottom was completely stripped and had new barrier coat and bottom paint work. Both the rudder bearings and Sail Drive gaskets were all replaced. Both the standing and (top flight) running rigging are all new. New sails include a North AP Class spinnaker, North 3DL main and Class Jib, and North heavy air Norlan TourAG jib. Cruising equipment includes new cockpit cushions, new Fusion stereo, aft-facing ports in cabin house, removable dock box, cabinets over port and starboard settees, full cherry hull sidings and dodger.
