We know the price is lower on this boat than the others out there because the owner has done his cruising and the boat is priced to sell and it is ready to go cruising this year ....Just buy your own groceries and your favorite beverages and come on down.

Illusions is the perfect boat to single-hand but has plenty of room for two or even four. In our opinion, she is the largest 29 ft. boat you will ever set foot on. This Island Packet sailing vessel is roomy, spacious, comfortable, and is built for ocean sailing conditions. Illusions has completed a  single-handed 5 year cruise throughout the Eastern Caribbean. A new engine and fuel tank were installed in 2013. With the wind generator, solar panel, and five AGM batteries in the house bank, you can anchor in that deserted anchorage without worrying about running the engine to charge the batteries.

She is equipped to take you on that extended cruise you have always dreamed about! Please read the full specifications!

The Biggest Pros and Cons

The 1992 Island Packet 29 is a well-regarded cruising sailboat known for its solid construction and comfortable accommodations. Here are some of the pros and cons of this model:

Pros

Sturdy Build: The Island Packet 29 features a robust fiberglass hull with a full keel, providing excellent stability and durability, ideal for long-distance cruising.

Comfortable Interior: The interior layout is thoughtfully designed, offering ample headroom and comfortable berths, making extended stays aboard pleasant.

Easy Handling: With its cutter rig and manageable sail plan, the boat is easy to handle for short-handed crews or solo sailors.

Good Storage: Generous storage space throughout the cabin and cockpit allows for carrying provisions and gear needed for extended voyages.

Seaworthy Design: The full keel and moderate displacement contribute to a smooth and stable ride even in rough seas.

Cons

Moderate Speed: Due to its full keel and heavier displacement, the Island Packet 29 may not be as fast or agile as more performance-oriented sailboats.

Limited Maneuverability: The full keel design can make tight maneuvering in marinas or crowded anchorages more challenging compared to fin keel boats.

Older Systems: Being a 1992 model, some onboard systems and equipment may require updating or maintenance to meet modern standards.

Less Modern Aesthetics: The classic design may feel dated compared to contemporary sailboats with sleeker lines and modern layouts.
