The Island Hopper 30 offers a 12-foot beam for unmatched stability and comfort while trolling or at anchor. She planes out quickly, providing fast speed and economical operating costs. Hull design has a deep-V entry forward changing to a flat three-degree deadrise aft. Double-wide chines and a self-bailing deck are also strong points. Beam at widest point is 12 feet 4 inches. Freeboard is 58 inches at the bow, 40 inches at the transom. Draft is 26 inches. Hull construction is of hand-laminated glass, woven roving of eight to 18 laminations resulting in a one- to two-inch layer in the bottom of the hull. All critical points such as chines, bow, and keel are strengthened with extra layers of glass, and the bottom is stiffened with four longitudinal stringers. Two 110-gallon fuel tanks provide long range cruising.
