JOURNEY is the Europa model Island Gypsy 32 with overhangs shading the aft and side decks. She has a solid fiberglass hull, and appears to be in good condition and to have had good care. Her current owners used the vessel solely as a floating office and hang spot with frequent sunset cruises around Newport Harbor and put few hours on the engine during the four years they have owned her. She's out of the water and may be easily seen. The engine has about 1,500 hours. Batteries were replaced in 2023.
Entering the salon aft the dinette is to starboard with the L-shaped settee and table that drops to make up a double berth. To port is a settee (with 55 gallon ice box under) that sleeps 1. forward to starboard is cabinetry, and the helm station with a starboard door to access the side deck. To port is the galley with abundant storage and conveniences. Forward are the steps down to the master cabin with center island queen berth. There is storage under with drawers as well as hanging lockers and shelves port and starboard. The head is to starboard and a separate stall shower is to port. The interior is a light finished teak joiner work and cabinetry with a teak and holly sole throughout. Sliding windows, opening ports, overhead hatches and 12vdc fans provide ventilation.

Other Information about Lawson Yachts
John Procter learned to sail as a child at Community Boating on the Charles River in Boston and, as a teenager, enjoyed summer cruises run by a local school teacher along the New England coast on a 30' wooden cutter. These experiences left an indelible impression, creating a lifelong passion for sailing and spending time on the water. After graduating from Hobart College in 1968, John served three years in the U. S. Army, spending a year in Vietnam. The product of a family of musicians and composers, he went on to teach instrumental music in the Boston Public Schools for the next ten years, followed by stints as the administrator for Project STEP (a string education program for historically underrepresented youth) and, after earning his MBA, as a benefits analyst for Data General. John became a yacht broker in 1984 and has never looked back! He has been active in the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA), serving on its Board of Directors for six years and as its President for two years. John joined Lawson Yachts in 1985 and became the owner in 2013 upon Sam Lawson's retirement. When not yacht brokering, John plays euphonium in the Metropolitan Wind Symphony and the New England Brass Band, and enjoys sailing and skiing with his wife and son.
