Why select "Buhler's Day Off" over other listings:
This well cared for 2003 model was re-powered with 2008 twin four stroke Yamaha power now showing only with 750 hours. The High definition Garmin electronics suite, canvas, and cockpit seating were also all updated. The engine annual services are fresh and with her extended range full tanks - she is ready to run non-stop to Key West for a week of fishing!
The Intrepid line of semi-custom high quality off shore fishing boats is legendary. They start with a strong Kevlar hull and build up from that with an attention to detail that is not found on most other brands.
This Intrepid 348 Walk-Around is a solid, high-performance design with strong eye appeal, exquisite detailing and features unavailable elsewhere in the market. Be it serious off shore fishing or a family outing - this is the one boat that can really do it all - and in style!
Not to mention: A Bow Thruster will make you look like a pro docking in any current or wind!
Intrepid Powerboats is in the rare segment of the marine market where quality, performance, and innovation count for more than the bottom line. As such, pound for pound, few competitors can match their sophisticated modern styling and custom-design features.
At the heart of the 348's design is a high-performance hull form, tuned to deliver comfort and speed. The 348's exterior space is arranged with her multipurpose mission in mind. This sets her apart from most large, open designs, which have relatively Spartan deck layouts dedicated to standup fishing.
Removable rear bench seating is aft of the helm with additional covered L-shape family friendly seating area forward. A section of the forward seating lifts to allow access within the console and to a machinery space where the waste system resides. Batteries are under the console, where they will remain dry and easily accessible.
The cockpit helm is equipped with the customary "top of the line" High Definition Garmin marine electronics positioned ergonomically for the discerning Captain with visibility from the helm being excellent both forward and aft. The helm offers copious space for the new digital Garmin electronics suite which is of the latest modern design and neatly laid out. (See below for the full electronics inventory.) The large helm seat is a molded bench seat with rod and drink holders, tackle drawers and a stout aluminum handrail. With the push of a button, the helm seat retracts to form a bolster-style perch.
Creativity is evident in all this 348's details. The fuel fill, for example, is located discreetly in a small port side deck recess covered by a hatch integrated into the deck lines. Forward, the anchor windlass is hidden from view in a similar fashion. A tip-down switch panel is designed into the helm console, as is a cabinet dedicated to the 12-volt mains. The factory aluminum-and-fiberglass hard-top is stout in design and meticulously finished.
Forward access to the bow is provided via wide port and starboard walk ways with good hand holds all the way forward. Deck hardware is substantial both in quality and quantity being strategically located for ease of securing the vessel in docking and anchoring. The diamond cut pattern deck non-skid is throughout and offers sure footing and ease of cleaning.
Roughly a third of the 348's length is dedicated to her interior, which is spacious compared with most other open designs. The interior layout offers a well-equipped galley with storage on the starboard side just aft of the single entrance fully enclosed head with toilet and hot shower. The AC is powered by an on board inverter. The workable galley has a sink, cooktop, and microwave. The forward lounge area is fitted with a table, and the berth platform rises electrically for access to stowage that houses a berth-extending insert.
The oversized enclosed aluminum and fiberglass hard-top provide excellent sun and wind protection which complements the clean style lines running from the bow to the trailing end of the swim deck providing the classic and timeless appearance that Intrepids are known for.
