"Lizzie" is a Hylas 54 Raised Salon sailing vessel designed by German Freers, fabricated by Queen Long Marina as Hull #8 and launched in 1999.
Hull #8 was exhibited by Hylas in the 2000 season boat shows on the East Coast. "Lizzie" was purchased by her owners the summer of 2001 and was moved to her home in Charlevoix, Michigan. She is being offered for sale for the first time by her original owners.
From 2002-2016 "Lizzie" was sailed exclusively in the Great Lakes from her berth in Charlevoix and stored in heated winter storage for 15 years beginning winter 2001.
"Lizzie" underwent an extensive refit in winter 2015/Spring 2016 by Torresen's Marine Services in Muskegon, Michigan. The refit included all new electronics, new galley layout, roller, reeling, winches, stern davits for dinghy transport, diesel engine rebuild with new transmission, and a 6 man Winslow offshore life raft was added to the stern railing.
