The Hunter 40.5 is an auxiliary sailing fractional sloop with a powerful fully battened main sail, furling foresail, winged shoal keel and 47 hp diesel engine. Below she provides exceptional accommodation with a forward cabin with ensuite heads with shower, a large salon, navigation station, large galley and aft cabin with a queen berth and head with shower. Wheel steering is a joy with all controls at hand and an all round view sitting or standing. Under way the cockpit is well protected and sails can be controlled without leaving the cockpit. The bimini gives welcome protection from the sun or rain. A walk-through transom allows enviable access to the dock, or with boarding ladder lowered at anchor to the dink or a refreshing swim.
