Hence the opportunity. During a lightning storm a telephone pole was struck on the owners street. It is thought that the power surge came into the vessel via the shore cord, which adversely affected some of the sensitive electronics. The seller has elected to replace all of the electronics with new and at the same time apply a new bottom and wax. A very large percentage of sailboats in Florida have sustained damage due to lightning. This almost without exception results in a better vessel once equipment has been replaced.
