MHQ 2.0

The innovation leader has done it again. Hunter brought you Walk-Through Transoms, the Traveler Arch and the B&R Easy Sail Rig. Now the new Marlow-Hunter team has unleashed a barrage of Quality upgrades-MHQ 2.0. Hunter is the first and only production sailboat manufacturer to eliminate all balsa and plywood from hulls and decks and go to All Synthetic Construction. The boats will be lighter and stronger thanks to Nida-Core honeycomb synthetic coring in hulls and decks and Kevlar reinforced hulls from bow to keel to chainplates. The Vinyl-Ester resins have been upgraded as well making the surface below the gel-coat three times stronger, virtually eliminating cracking, crazing or blistering. The new gel coat upgrade to HK Gel Coat will provide a harder, smoother surface and allows for more fade-resistant colors. Hunter will now offer an array of gel coat color hulls at an extremely affordable price.

This sleek looking boat was just introduced last year with a new Henderson designed hull incorporating his signature bow hollow and a new hard chine that will stiffen her up with less heel. A huge new fold down transom provides another deck and extends the cockpit. The 37 is a big boat-like all new Hunters she is measured by length on deck not length overall. That makes her longer and beamier than her competitors and a full 3' longer than her predecessor 36. This provides for a much bigger salon and cabin below. Hunter's generous use of wood gives a much warmer feel to the boat and the unique solid wood floors are spectacular. Like all Hunters the interior is very bright but this boat has two large overhead ports opening in each direction. Best of all she retains the huge benefits of Hunter sailboats: She is the easiest boat to sail amongst her competition with the small (easy to tack) jib and the end boom double ended mainsheet (easy to haul in)- all sails lead to the helm- not the cockpit! Again, no other manufacturer can make that claim.

Down below, the master aft cabin is roomy and features comfortable headroom and private access to the head. The interior has been enhanced with a richer look and feel. Enhancements start at the sole of the interior which features a hardwood flooring look that accentuates the true beauty of the Hunter 37's interior. The large galley features Corian countertops with complementing stainless steel fiddles that not only keep items from falling off the countertops in a seaway but also serves as excellent hand holds for personal stability when preparing a meal or moving about below. The main salon is breathtaking from the level of fit and finish to the sheer volume she delivers. She features a full navigation station and a salon table also doubles as an additional bunk area for 2 people when the table is lowered into a bunk position. The forward cabin is large enough that it has been mistaken for the master cabin.
