Commissioned in October 2006, Serenity is a lightly used, Henderson designed boat that has been professionally maintained from day one. With the exception of a couple overnight trips to St. Augustine and Fernandina, she has been used for day sails on the St. Johns River with an occasional sail off the Jax beaches.
Serenity came with Hunter's Mariner package so she was well equipped at commissioning. BUT, sheââ¬â¢s had several great upgrades costing over $5,000:
- Cockpit cushions were added in 2007
- A fresh water, electric flush head was installed in 2010. Simple to operate and a real pleaser for guests.
- Custom-made asymmetric spinnaker with sleeve (2007) for those long downwind sails ââ¬â very easy to deploy and re-sleeve.
Regular maintenance includes monthly bottom cleaning, and regular haul outs for bottom paint when needed per assessment from the bottom cleaners. Other maintenance includes:
- The battery charger was replaced in 2013
- All running rigging was replaced in May 2016
- All winches were serviced in 2016
- Bimini removed, cleaned and re-stitched with a new window install in 2016
- Cutlass bearing replaced in 2015
- Oil and filter changes ââ¬â we do those ourselves.
The bottom line ââ¬â Serenity has been extremely well maintained and is ready to sail.
