The Hunter 34 offers a long list of amenities for comfort and convenience...from her spacious seven-berth cabin to her large cockpit with pedestal steering. Hunter's engineering and design resulted in a very comfortable boat that performs well and can do well as a club racer. The Hunter 34 has a full-length internal frame and stringer system of unidirectional fiberglass bonded directly to the hull for added stiffness without extra weight. Chainplate loads are brought through the deck and distributed to the hull's internal frame and stringer system.
The Hunter 34 rig's swept-back spreaders allow tighter sheeting angles for the Genoa; a smaller spar section reduces windage and interference with the leading edge of the mainsail. She is especially efficient upwind.
Below, the roomy interior is light and well ventilated and features an U-shaped galley, fore-and-aft facing dinette, a head with a shower, a chart table, spacious stowage, and full-sized berths for seven. The main cabin has a teak and holly sole and attractive wood joinery.
"Thunder's" salon was re-upholstered, including new foam, with Beige velour upholstery, and a patterned mattress cover for the V-berth.
Her owners have upgraded the boat with all new brass seacocks, new GFI outlets for galley and head, grounded the fuel tank, double clamped all hose connections, a new microwave, and new TV. New head hoses and tank were added this season.
"Thunder" has a white hull and decks, blue cove and boot stripes, VC17 Antifouling Paint.

Solid Construction: Built in the mid-1980s, the Hunter 34 benefits from durable fiberglass construction and quality fittings typical of that era.
Cons
