A brand new model from Hunter- the new 31. We jumped on board and were immediately impressed with the huge cockpit and a fantastic new swing pedestal- It swings out of the way to easily pass through the cockpit and also lets you steer from either side rail. The Marlow-Hunter 31 is the latest off-shore cruising model sailboat to follow the pedigree of the 40 and 37 which were also introduced by Marlow-Hunter in the last two years.

Sail Magazine was very impressed as well proclaiming the new Hunter 31 winner of the 2016 "Best Boats" competition in the cruising sailboat 31-40 foot category. The editors were really impressed with her innovations and - wow can she sail!

MHQ 2.0

The innovation leader has done it again. Hunter brought you Walk-Through Transoms, the Traveler Arch and the B&R Easy Sail Rig. Now the new Marlow-Hunter team has unleashed a barrage of Quality upgrades-MHQ 2.0. Hunter is the first and only production sailboat manufacturer to eliminate all balsa and plywood from hulls and decks and go to All Synthetic Construction. The boats will be lighter and stronger thanks to Nida-Core honeycomb synthetic coring in hulls and decks and Kevlar reinforced hulls from bow to keel to chainplates. The Vinyl-Ester resins have been upgraded as well making the surface below the gel-coat three times stronger, virtually eliminating cracking, crazing or blistering. The new gel coat upgrade to HK Gel Coat will provide a harder, smoother surface and allows for more fade-resistant colors. Hunter will now offer an array of gel coat color hulls at an extremely affordable price.

The Hunter 31 has been an attention grabber. She carries the sleek new Hunter styling and customers are impressed with the size of the boat- "enormous interior", "huge cockpit". Indeed her waterline length at 29'8" is longer, and her beam at 11'10" is wider than her famous big sister the Hunter 33. One of her best features is the spacious cockpit that will deliver a feel more like that of a larger boat. Performance will also be one of her strong features with a large sail plan and a Glenn Henderson hull design plus hard chine aft below the waterline which has become a signature for Marlow-Hunter sailboats.

Below her quality fit and finish is hand crafted using real teak furniture and floors, Corian countertops, ball bearing drawer hardware and name brand appliances and equipment. The construction of the hull and deck utilizes Vinyl Ester resins and gel-coats, continuous reinforcement fibers, Kevlar and state of the art Nida-coring for structural integrity for ours and our customer's, peace of mind.

She is equipped with In-Mast Furling, Vertical Battens, Lewmar Swing Pedestal, Shade Package, Engine FIre Supression System, Bimini with installation, Teak package (cockpit table inlay), Colored Hull (gelcoat), Two-tone non skid, 29 hp Engine upgrade, Teak package (fold down transom), Refrigeration, VHF Radio, Raymarine Electronics and more.
