True to her lineage, from Hunter and parent company Marlow, This 2013 Hunter 270 Sloop, Believe, is not only affordable, but sturdy, forgiving and more comfortable than a boat this size should be. She encompasses all aspects of the perfect small cruiser or day sailor for the experienced captain wanting ease of everything, or the aspiring sailor in need of the perfect entry level yacht.
At 27 feet, she is small enough to make close quarter maneuvering easy and carefree, but large enough that she can handle the rough weather when it pops up. An open aft cockpit and additional seating integrated into the stern pulpit (rails) allow her to comfortably handle all of your friends and family at dock and while sailing. The helm (steering wheel) folds while at dock for easy access around the cockpit, but when deployed is large enough so that visibility is maximized for the skipper or helmsman while sailing.
Below she boasts 62 of headroom and a full size berth aft along with a V-Berth for two and two settees (couches) that can allow up to 6 to sleep on her overnight. Dining for all is accommodated by a centerline table that folds on either or both sides when not in use. Her 12V cooler/fridge will keep your beverages and food cool and secure at all times. A dual fuel two burner range can operate with affordable, easy to use alcohol while underway or at anchor; or electrical power while at the dock. If you want to warm up those leftovers, she is also equipped with a microwave. After that she has an inviting H/C shower and head with separate vanity to clean up.
Under sail, this Hunter 27 2013 Sloop moves at will in any wind condition with a large mainsail and roller reefing jib. All major sail controls and two main reef lines are led to the cockpit. The traveler and mainsheet are just forward of the helm for ease of use and accurate sail trim like that of a racing yacht, yet her boom is safely above head level and a Bimini keeps the rays or rain off the helmsman. All primary lines run to her two-speed primary winches or coachroof winches equipped with line clutches for maximum flexibility and control. A boom vang and two sets of jib fairlead tracks round out sail controls that will excite and satisfy both the seasoned and new sailor.
As her name implies, this wonderful boat will make you a Believer.
