Summary
Step aboard and what strikes you first is the volume. Seventeen feet four inches of beam on a 64'3" hull is a great deal of boat, and Horizon spent it where an owner actually lives — in the salon, in the galley, and above all in a full-beam master that would not look out of place on a yacht ten feet longer. This series was built for people who wanted the interior and the substance of a larger vessel without taking on crew to run it.

A BIG BOAT THAT HAPPENS TO BE SIXTY-FOUR FEET

Step aboard and what strikes you first is the volume. Seventeen and a half feet of beam on a 64-foot hull is a great deal of boat, and Horizon spent it where an owner actually lives - in the salon, in the galley, and above all in a full-beam master that would not look out of place on a yacht ten feet longer. This series was built for owners who want the interior and substance of a larger vessel, and with her joystick control and docking cameras, ISONDA can be run and docked single-handed by an owner-operator.

ACCOMMODATIONS - THREE STATEROOMS, AND ALL OF THEM REAL

Plenty of yachts this length advertise four cabins. What they rarely mention is that four cabins on a 62-foot hull means four small ones, and a master that is really just the biggest of them. ISONDA takes the other road:

 - Full-beam master stateroom with private head

 - Double guest stateroom

 - Twin guest stateroom

Three heads serve the guest staterooms. Separate crew quarters with their own head sleep three more - for a captain and crew, or simply extra guests - without giving up a guest cabin. The salon is a room you can genuinely gather in, and the galley is laid out to cook in, not merely to reheat.

MACHINERY - CATERPILLAR POWER ON STRAIGHT SHAFTS

Twin Caterpillar C-18 diesels, 1,001 horsepower a side, turn conventional straight shafts through ZF transmissions. The C-18 is one of the most widely supported marine diesels in the world - an engine that yards understand, that mechanics from Stuart to Nassau have worked on their whole careers, and whose parts sit on a shelf in Florida rather than on an airplane from Europe. She runs over 24 knots at full rated rpm, with an easy 17-knot fast cruise.

The shafts matter just as much. Pod drives are clever and lovely at the dock, but they bring a service regime of their own and a repair path that runs through a single supplier. A straight shaft and a Caterpillar are the opposite proposition: more of the boat can be fixed by more people, in more places, for less money.

 WHY ISONDA

You are buying interior, not profile. ISONDA's beam and full-beam master put usable volume where an owner spends his time, and the difference is obvious within thirty seconds of stepping into the salon.

You are buying systems you can service anywhere. Caterpillar mains on straight shafts are among the most supportable machinery arrangements in the Western Hemisphere - not a small thing when you are two hundred miles from home and the weather is turning.

You are buying a documented investment. More than $200,000 of recent work, with the invoices to prove it - something most yachts of her age simply do not have behind them.

 IN SHORT

ISONDA offers the volume of a larger motor yacht, a full-beam master, three genuine guest staterooms plus crew quarters for three, Caterpillar power on straight shafts, stabilizers, thrusters fore and aft with joystick control and docking cameras, and a documented recent investment. She is available for inspection by appointment.
