FREYA has had an interesting life. She was first launched in 1940 and soon thereafter was conscripted to serve with the US Navy in and around Tacoma and Bremerton until late 1944. Freya participated several times in the Capital-to-Capital race that ran from Olympia, WA to Juneau, AK. She has been to Alaska 11 times plus many voyages up the Inside Passage to Price Rupert, the Broughton group, etc. She recently completed a several month mechanical and structural refit and is ready to cruise.
