A perfectly restored Herreshoff 12 1/2 (ex DOVEKIE) originally built by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company.

This original 12 1/2 (hull #1397 complete with builder's plate) has been restored with the utmost effort and detail to ensure her structural integrity and beauty, while maintaining her originality. Among a long list of work, she received 15 new frames, three new floor timbers, new canvased cedar decks and bulkheads, along with new mahogany coamings.

She is gaff-rigged with cedar planking on white oak frames, and includes a new Triad trailer. She has much of the original hardware with various replacement pieces through J.M. Reineck & Sons. On the rigging, turnbuckles have been replaced and the shrouds have been parcelled and served. The boat does not currently have sails. She has complete coats of varnish on her brightwork and spars, and both the interior and exterior have been painted.

Since 1937, she has had only three owners, and today is ready to continue her legacy.
