ââ?¬Å?Turtle IVââ?¬ï¿½ was the very beginning of the Hatteras Long Range Cruiser legacy. It is hull #1 and the showcase boat for two years, Turtle IV toured the country showing off what the legendary Trans-Atlantic LRC would soon become. In absolutely perfect condition and as the Hatteras Demo Boat, Turtle IV has many upgrades and attention to detail that no other LRC was equipped with. The African hardwood Sapele and Teak trim throughout the vessel is like no other!

Equipped with twin Detroit Diesels 4-71N motors with approximately 4000 hours, she will burn about 6 gallons an hour at 8 Knots for a range of 3,000 miles. With that kind of range, you are able to travel to Maine and Back to Florida without refueling

Most Recent Maintenance Accomplished April 2018: Stabilizers serviced, bottom painted with Interlux ablative paint, running gear painted with anti-foul paint, fiberglass repair to cockpit deck around drain and davit support pole, repair of hurricane damage to the swim platform and stuffing boxes repacked

Other Upgrades include: New upholstery and curtains throughout (2013), complete new galley (2013), (2) New Phasor 15kW Generators (2013), New 30-gallon hot water heater (2013), two new battery banks (2015) and washer and dryer (2012)

If you are in the market for the king of Long Range Cruisers, then you owe it to yourself to make an appointment and see the Turtle for yourself.  She is an amazing vessel and the one that started it all.
