When the Hatteras 60 GT was introduced, it redefined the Hatteras brand. Built on a resin infused hull she was much lighter than her predecessor with a far superior hull design. Her large bow flare, sharp entry and Modified V hull provide a softer, faster, more efficient, drier ride than ever before. Her exterior lines were resigned as well to reflect her Carolina birth and heritage. The 2008 Hatteras 60 GT "MISS MINKS" is a stunning example of this model. Her current owner is as fastidious as it gets and employs a full-time captain. Primarily used family style, she is rigged for the best of both worlds and is ready to take on her next adventure, whatever that may be. Her C-32 CAT power pushes her to a top speed approaching 40 Knots. "MISS MINKS" is a vessel that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated and is priced for an immediate sale. Engine Room
The engine room on board the 2008 60 Hatteras GT "MISS MINKS" is located though a center line hatch under the cockpit mezzanine. It houses a pair of CAT C-32 engines with optional 1800 hp. In 2021, her starboard engine had a mechanical failure on a piston ringlet. Instead of doing the basic replacement of the one piston the owner chose to do a top end overhaul of the entire engine, to ensure perfection moving forward for his use. Taking it one step further they rebuilt the port side, so both engines would match with updated internal components. Work was performed by A&S Diesel services. All paperwork is available for review. Only one technician has serviced this vessel since 2021. Total lifetime hours on the vessel is 2,745. Approximately 100 hours SMOH (01/25).
Additional engine room and maintenance highlights include:
