Hatteras certainly set the bar very high when they introduced the 53 Motoryacht. When it comes to design, the classic lines, solid construction, sea worthiness, interior joinery, there was just none better. The ED offered an option to the design providing a much larger, more comfortable salon paired with a segregated lower station pilothouse, allowing the captain to operate his boat with less interference from salon activities.
On the lower level, there are three staterooms and three heads. The master is full beam with centerline queen berth, ensuite head and lots of drawers and hanging lockers. The forward quest stateroom has bunk beds, an ensuite head & shower, and the laundry with new stack washer and dryer. On this level is also the galley. Very well equipped with new appliances including full size refrigerator/freezer, stove top and microwave. The convertible dinette seats 4 comfortably and sleeps two. Lastly, the walk in engine rooms house 450 hp Detroit 8V71TIs with 2500 original hrs. The electrical power is provided by a 20 KW Onan generator with only 1170 hours.
Five years ago the current owner fulfilled lifelong dream of buying and living onboard a classic motoryacht. Peace of Mind III was on Lake Ponchartrain at that time, had been there several years. Prior to that, she spent 20 years at a Panama City Beach marina.Ã? Current owner moved her inland to Pickwick Lake on the Tenn River.Ã? There the bottom was painted and multiple upgrades were made.Ã? All new galley appliances, new Garmin 8610 radar/chartplotter for pilothouse with remote screen for bridge, stack washer dryer, bridge vhf and stereo. Two years ago she was moved to Mud Island Marina in Memphis.Ã?Â
Ã? Now the time has come to move back ashore.Ã? Owner is ready to sell and looking for offers.Ã? Ã?Â
