The last of the "small" Hatteras models, the 40 Motor Yacht called the Double Cabin is a well styled aft cabin design . She's built on a modified-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, and unlike most previous Hatteras hull designs , shallow prop pockets were used to reduce the draft and shaft angle. Two stateroom floorplan with galley down and featuring a spacious aft stateroom and a small forward stateroom. Both staterooms have its own head and shower. Entering from the aft deck is a full height entry door that leads you into a very roomy upper Salon. The flybridge is very roomy and has seating for family and friends forward of the captain.
The 375 hp Cat diesel engines will deliver a cruise speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 20 knots, not bad for a 38,000 lbs. boat.
This has been a fresh water boat all her life and has been dry stored for half of it.
New queen mattress aft and in the V berth, new batteries, rebuilt vac u flush heads,ice maker,spare props, recently serviced haylon system and new flooring in the salon.
