This 36 Hatteras is a good looking yacht even by today's standards for a classic sport fish look. "The 36 Hatteras Convertible embodied the signature styling and quality construction of all Hatteras convertibles built in the 1980s" The 36 was built on a hull designed by Jim Wynne who is a well known yacht designer responsible for some great yacht features and performance characteristics. She is a capable offshore boat with good seakeeping attributes. Hatteras offered several stateroom layouts and this one was most desirable with a good sized salon, galley down and dinette down. In the brokers opinion this gave the most comfortable layout for entertaining, cruising or longer voyages. She sleeps four owners six owners and guests in a forward cabin vee-berth, convertible dinette and salon couch.
She is powered by twin gas engines which was the standard package with 350 hp. She has a genset for comfortable cruising power and features a French style double sliding salon door that opens the salon and cockpit with a wide view out. The salon is bright and airy and her large windows give a 360 degree view making this a fun yacht for anchoring. With all her Hatteras designed amenities and rich interior teak woods you still know that you are in the heart of a legendary fishing machine which her bold silhouette, tall bridge and the ride of an ocean going fishing machine.
