VESSEL
1964, 42.3' Grandy Boat Company "Westport" Charter Boat, 46' Overall. Weight approx. 30,000 lbs. "RIVIERA" hull construction is red cedar on oak frames. Bottom is double planked. Inner planks are diagonal outer longitudinal. Decks and cabin are plywood with fiberglass over which is the original construction method. Many large portions of the freeboard, cap rails, decks and cabin have been professionally reconstructed during our ownership in the last 10 years. Fixed and sliding windows have been replaced. We have 100's of photos of the work. "RIVIERA" has a full, winter boat cover stem to stern made in 2021. Hull and fasteners are in great shape according to USCG inspection and professional marine survey 2026. Some fasteners were pulled, inspected and replaced.
ENGINE
Single 3306 BTA 355HP Caterpillar Inline 6, 10.5L, 638 cu. in. Eng. Build date 1989. Mechanical injection. Approx. 13,000 hrs. Twin Disk 2:1 MG-509 Gear. 2" SS Shaft, 4-Blade, Bronze 28"X24" Prop and Large, Steel Rudder. New cutlass bearing in 2022. New engine hoses 2023. May of 2026, Valves adjusted, heat exchanger, and trans coolers, dipped and pressure tested, new aftercooler core and exhaust mixer elbow replaced by Hatton Marine, all for preventive maintenance. We cruise at 1800 rpm, 9.7 knts. 7.2 gph. Boat semi-planes light at 1900 rpm, 11 knts. WOT is 2250 12.7 knts.
COI CERTIFICATION
USCG Certified Passenger Vessel, New, 5 yr. USCG COI APR 2031, 34 + 1 Capt. and 1 Crew. Lakes, Bays and Sounds: Puget Sound. "RIVIERA" is Currently restricted to 1 Mile from Shore as the 22-person life float has been removed after it aged- out of certification. I decided to run without it as we do not need it on our routes in the South Puget Sound. "RIVIERA" Can be easily re-established to 34 + 1 Capt. and 1 Crew. Lakes, Bay and Sounds: Puget Sound not restricted to 1 Mile from shore with the addition of a new 22-person life float or 12-person IBA.
EQUIPMENT
Fuel Tanks: 1999 Aluminum, 2-160 Gal. in Engine Room. 1-130 Gal. in Laz. 400 Gal. useable
Water Tank: 2021 Stainless Steel 119 Gal. in Lazarette.
Waste Tank: 1980's Poly, 40 Gal, below head, uses a PVC, stinger-tube pump-out method.
Steering: Mechanical, chain to 7/8" bronze shaft to gearbox in lazarette.
Electrical: 24V Main Engine Start Stop. 2 X 8D, 12V House 2X 8D, 2024. 120V Shore Power and 2000W Magnum inverter for 120V. Many recent electrical upgrades: 120V panel, 12V breakers and new Victron shore power isolation transformer.
Furnace: Webasto Hydronic Boiler and Engine Heat Exchanger, Isotherm Water Heater, 2 x 10k btu coils in cabin, 2x 20k btu coils out in the curtained, underdeck area aft of the cabin. Back canvas/ window cruise curtain was added in 2019 for shoulder season comfort. It is stored below in summer. (All this was new in 2019)
Electronics: Furuno C-NAV DS, Radar, Plotter upper and lower stations. Transducer new in 2020. 2 VHF, one with DSC and Ram mic to Flybridge. Both with new FCC cert till April 2031. Bow and flybridge settee cushions new in 2026.
2026 is our 11th. season running "RIVIERA" for ticketed sightseeing cruises for the public and private charters between Mid. June and Mid. October. By choice, we run a short season. Next owner can run many more trips into the fall and lucrative holiday time if they want. We cover the boat up by Nov. 1st. and it stays covered until haul-out then we cover it until April USCG Inspections. One person can put on cover in 1.5 hours and take down in 1 hour. The top ridge of cover is PVC pipe. Works great! We use online booking for our public cruises and take charters by email and phone. Our 3-year average gross annual revenue is $151,712 with an average annual net profit of $74,260 or 49%.
