SWEET SOUND was designed by Ed Monk Sr. and built by The Grandy Boat Company, a premier builder in the Seattle area from 1922 until 1967. Ask anyone in the PNW classic boat community and this is a pedigree that is hard to beat. Recently completing a major restoration below the waterline, exterior finishes and systems, SWEET SOUND is ready to go cruising. In an increasingly complex world, the simplicity of design and systems on SWEET SOUND will lend to stress free boating and maintenance. Just turn the key and go... In the photos you will see a historical photo of a Grandy-34 undergoing sea trials on Lake Washington. As you compare to current photos you will see that SWEET SOUND remains true to her original design.
You will be hard pressed to find more room on one level in 34 feet than the Grandy 34. Spacious galley to aft starboard, large head compartment to port. Forward of the galley is the dinette with reversing co-pilot back rest. Port side is a settee that converts to double bunks and then the helm. Forward of the main cabin is a v-berh. Leaving the main cabin aft brings you to a large back deck perfect for lounging in the summer sun.
