RESTLESS WAVE is an excellent example of a well-maintained Grand Banks 42 Classic that combines the brand's legendary, timeless qualities with valuable upgrades that make it an exceptionally well-found and ready-to-cruise example of a much-sought-after yacht.
Renowned for efficient and economical cruising, a sea-kindly hull, and a peerless reputation for quality, the Grand Banks 42 Classic is the ideal choice for cruising on the East Coast. This is a superb example of a continuously maintained vessel with many recent upgrades. Powered by reliable, efficient, and powerful twin Caterpillar 3116 diesels, with low 2,345 hours, producing 600hp, she is ready to go anywhere. With her long keel, hard chines, and a deep forefoot, the 42 Classic ranks among the most comfortable and seaworthy cruising yachts in her class.
An 8kW Westerbeke Generator, also with low hours, provides ample power to run all of the ship systems while away from the dock. This includes a refrigerator and freezer, as well as a 3 Zone Central Air Conditioning and Heating System with remote compressor units making it quiet and efficient.
In 1991 Grand Banks redesigned the yachts and added a foot of length and a foot of beam to the hulls. The result is a much more spacious yacht which feels noticeably larger inside. RESTLESS WAVE features the most desirable layout with a full-size centerline Queen Berth in the private aft cabin master stateroom, and a large convertible V-Berth in the guest stateroom forward. Each stateroom has an en suite head with a shower for privacy and convenience. All heads are electric and use freshwater. The decks are non-skid fiberglass making for easy maintenance.
Some of the most recent maintenance and upgrades include:
- New 9' Highfield RIB Tender 15hp Yamaha outboard, canvas cover & lifting straps
- Winch and lifting system for tender launch and recovery
- All New Canvas and Eisenglass
- Serviced all Seacocks in 2025
- New sanitation system throughout, with Electric Toilets
- New Swim Platform
- Annual Engine Maintenance Program
- Annual Varnish Maintenance Program
RESTLESS WAVE is in the water, ready to go anywhere and offered at a price well below comparable vessels.
