BLUE TANG is a stunning example of the popular Eastbay 39SX built by Grand Banks. She has been meticulously maintained and in recent years has been used lightly in Maine summers and stored inside for the winter. Her enclosed pilothouse provides excellent visibility with protection from the elements and is climate controlled if needed. Below a simple open layout with a centerline berth in the forward cabin, a simple galley and dinette and a head with separate shower provide everything needed for coastal cruising. The cockpit provides outside seating with a transom door to a swim platform with a Freedom dinghy lift for easy tender storage.
BLUE TANG is in the process of being repowered with brand new Yanmar 440 hp common rail engines with electronic controls that will convey with new engine warranties, providing quiet, reliable propulsion for years of enjoyment on the water.
Her simple twin screw with traditional engine controls and a bow thruster provide excellent maneuverability and her C Raymond Hunt designed deep V hull delivers an excellent ride underway and her classic Downeast looks will draw admiring looks wherever she goes.
Currently stored inside and in the process of getting her winter work done, BLUE TANG is easy to see and will be better than ever for her next owner to enjoy.
Note: Photos show old engines and photos will be updated as soon as work is complete in late May.
