The Grady-White 300 Marlin began life back in 1989 as the 280 Marlin, a big, brawny walkaround fisherman with a wide beam and an integrated outboard bracket/swim platform. The new deep-V hull was introduced in 1994, and in 1995 a revised cockpit with an aft bench seat signaled the introduction of the 300 Marlin. In 2004 the transom was redesigned with a larger fish box and removable cooler box. The Marlin has always been a popular model thanks to her unmatched fishability, comfortable cabin accommodations, and top-quality engineering and construction. The cockpit is deep and uncluttered with excellent nonskid, and visibility from the raised bridge deck is excellent in all directions. There are berths for three in the upscale cabin (including a quarter berth aft) along with a standup head compartment, a full galley, and a removable dinette table. Additional features include a 30-gallon livewell, forward fish box and rigging station (300 models only), wide side decks, positive foam flotation, and a bow pulpit. A popular and venerable boat with strong resale values, twin 250 Yamaha outboards cruise the Marlin 300 at 25 knots and deliver a top speed of 35+ knots"
