Offered for sale is a very nice, very clean, well-maintained 2000 Gibson 37 Sport houseboat, located in Morehead City, North Carolina. If you have been looking for an affordable way to enjoy life on the water, this is an excellent opportunity to own a spacious houseboat that is ready for its next owner to enjoy.
Powered by twin Crusader 250 HP gasoline inboard engines, this Gibson offers a comfortable combination of cruising capability, entertaining space, and a relaxed waterfront lifestyle. One engine was replaced with a new engine in November 2023 and has fewer than 100 hours. The other engine has approximately 700 hours. Both engines run great.
This 2000 Gibson 37 Sport Series delivers standout performance and true planing capability, separating it from standard houseboats. Driven by twin 250hp Crusader engines, its iconic fiberglass modified-V cruiser hull efficiently cuts through the water, offering a comfortable and economical displacement cruise at 10 mph. When you need to make time, the 500 total horsepower easily coaxes the hull up on plane to maintain a steady 14 to 16 mph cruise, ultimately topping out at an impressive 20 to 25 mph. This agile speed profile gives you the power and confidence to safely cross larger open water bodies, navigate strong currents, and outrun changing weather.
