The General Marine 26 is a classic Downeast hull design with a strong commercial heritage, offering a spacious interior, easy access to machinery, and a proven track record for both commercial fishing and coastal cruising.
The 26 has a full keel for running gear protection and lateral stability, molded in spray rails and flair in the bow for a dry ride. The hull is constructed of solid glass using vinyl ester, high tech fiberglass and high quality gelcoats. All hardware is 316 stainless steel above the waterline and silicon bronze below the waterline.
This Documented boat was finished by General Marine and owned by a Marine repair shop and maintained with an open checkbook. She's both commercial Tuna and coastal cruising ready!
Recent work and upgrades include; new water and holding tanks, new decks, new sliding windows, new bilge/Livewell/raw water pumps, new exhaust elbow, new TURBO, new charge air cooler, freshly tuned prop with line cutter installed, new packing installed in shaft seal. Soda blasted and barrier coasted (2021) New Cushions and Winter Back Curtains.
