Among cruising vessels, catamarans, once thought odd and not viable on the ocean, are now becoming praised and very much wanted. The room, the stability, the lack of heeling, and the speed have made them quite growing commodity. The down side is the cost. Most catamarans are expensive and justifiably so. The Gemini coastal cruiser hit the market in the 1980's with a bullet and has remained in the charts since, even though the last 3200 was produced in 1993.The accommodations are good and the electronic and navigation package is excellent.  This is an attractive boat with wonderful lines that looks fast even while sitting in her slip.  While not as big as boats like a Leopard, this Gemini comes with lots of great things including speed and a good ride. And it's priced to sell.  There is plenty of room and the boat is just plain fun.

THE GOOD
There is a new Suzuki 20 engine with less than 10 hours on it. Add that to new running rigging and furler, and a new main halyard that was replace in January of this year (2018) and you can see she is  a great deal. Batteries were replaced four years ago. The Garmin 400 series has local charts and can be updated for any area, and to keep up with changes. There are 3 anchors for the boat: A 35# plow, a 25# plow, and a launch hook that come with 150 chain and 300 feet of braided nylon rode. She does need some TLC, although she can be sailed away immediately.

THE BAD
This Gemini is a bit rough. Maybe more than a bit. It's going to take a good deal of attention to be put in shape. While we are not aware of any significant problems with the major systems such as structure, engine, and sailing rig, it really needs a through clean-up at a minimum. And then maybe canvas, fabrics, etc. We?re not sure just what.

THE UGLY
There is no ugly, just reality, which sometimes is not very nice.
The boat belongs to a man who took it over after the untimely death of his son. And this man now has serious health issues. That's why the boat has been neglected. And why it really needs to be sold.

BOTTOM LINE

If you are in the market for a boat that has great potential and can be bought right, this is one you should take a look at.
