The 1997 Fountain 35 Lightning is a high-performance powerboat, embodying the sleek design and speed that Fountain Powerboats is renowned for. Measuring 35 feet in length with an 8-foot 4-inch beam and a 3-foot draft, this model offers a balanced combination of agility and stability. Weighing approximately 7,700 pounds dry, it is built for speed, with a fuel capacity of 180 gallons and a water capacity of 10 gallons, ensuring it can handle both short bursts of speed and longer runs with ease.

Introduced in the early 1990s, the Fountain 35 Lightning quickly gained a reputation as one of the fastest and most well-engineered boats in its class. Reggie Fountain, the founder of Fountain Powerboats, infused his passion for racing into the design of the 35 Lightning, resulting in a model that became particularly popular among performance boating enthusiasts. This boat is celebrated not only for its speed but also for its handling and durability, making it a favorite among those who participate in poker runs, offshore racing, and other high-speed boating events.


This 1997 Fountain 35 Lightning is powered by twin Mercruiser 454 Magnum engines, each equipped with Edelbrock carburetors. The Edelbrock carburetors are a key feature, optimizing the fuel-air mixture for better combustion, which enhances both acceleration and top-end speed.
