This Fountain 48 Express Cruiser is a second owner boat that has been used only seasonally here in the Northeast. The yacht's twelve-foot beam provides the perfect combination for both performance and interior space. The 48's hull is tuned to perfection offering a smooth ride in all types of water conditions. Combine this with Fountain's unitized construction process and you have you still have one of the most high tech boats on the water today.
Power yes...Her triple Yanmar diesels with high performance Arneson drives provide
the best of both worlds with a fast cruise, and a long range that is perfect for cruising
the Northeast or the Bahamas while still providing exceptional fuel economy.
The port side engine has 140 hours and was brand new as of two years ago due to a valve failure. This valve failure involved a recall of these engines, the center motor and starboard motor were also rebuilt on the top end to replace the valves. Middle and Starboard engines have 245 hours on them. All work was performed by Mack Boring Co. a local Yanmar distributor and service center. The Generator was just replaced with new, May 2013.
Down below her accommodations are not what you would typically expect from a boat that can cruise at over 50!!! With two full heads, roomy Salon, large galley, and comfortable sleeping for
four in two queen sized berths. This is one high performance cruiser that you can actually
