The Fountain 42 Lightning is the ultimate performance offshore sport boat in the Fountain line-up. The 42 was simply the fastest, smoothest, safest and best handling Fountain built, and it has all of the championships and speed records to prove it.
Fountain made the decision immediately upon the release of the Mercury Racing 700SCi that it would upgrade to the #6 speed-master drive on the NTX transom assembly to make the performance mirror that of their offshore dominating race boats. Since the roll-out of the 700SCi, the 42 with twin 700's has been one of the most sought after Fountains of all time, running at an astounding 107-110 miles per hour right out of the box.
This boat features low hours, but only has 30 hours on complete rebuilds, including top and bottom end, as well as new CMI headers. As a result, the engines make a bit more power than stock as a result of the +.030 pistons, pushing this boat to 110 mph plus!
All of the powder coating has been refinished, including the windshield frame, seat supports, and step pads; and, the running hours on the boat are very low at just over 100 hours.
This was the 2007 Fountain Powerboats Miami International Boat Show model, and has been stored indoors on a lift since new, by the original owner.
This boat includes a "like new" Myco try-axle Aluminum trailer.
