Located in Macclenny, Florida, this 2000 Formula 280 SS Sun Sport combines Formula's performance-oriented Deep-V design with a versatile cockpit, comfortable cabin, extensive recent updates, and an included triple-axle aluminum trailer.

A major highlight is the power. According to the seller, both 4.3L long blocks were installed in 2023 by the marina that handled the boat before his purchase. The seller estimates approximately 70 hours of use on the replacement long blocks, and marina receipts are available. The original tach/Hobbs meters show 981 hours on the port side and 1,015 hours on starboard.

All six engine and drive cables have been replaced. The original sterndrives have also recently been serviced, including new impellers less than six months ago and fresh AMSOIL gear lubricant. The seller reports both engines are responsive and operating well. The starboard shift cable needs some additional adjustment following replacement, as shifting currently requires slightly more effort than he prefers.

The helm has been extensively modernized with AutoMeter instrumentation and two primary LCD gauges connected through an NMEA 2000 network with engine-data computers. A Garmin chartplotter/fishfinder less than two years old is paired with a newer through-hull transducer and a separate transom-mounted transducer. Engine information can also be displayed through the Garmin.

Formula designed the 280 Sun Sport with a spacious cockpit featuring twin command seating, a U-shaped aft lounge, double port lounge, in-floor storage, cockpit galley with sink, and an integrated swim platform. This boat has updated upper-deck upholstery and custom bimini over the aluminum arch.

Below deck is a U-shaped forward lounge/dinette that converts to a double berth, along with a private head compartment, vanity, and sink. The seller reports the freshwater system, head, windlass, navigation and anchor lights, courtesy lighting, stereo, gauges, and automatic/manual bilge-pump functions are operating.

A triple-axle aluminum Cata Marine trailer is included.
