Formula Boats has been building high quality performance boats since 1962 out of Decatur, Indiana. As one of the few remaining family owned manufacturers in the industry, Formula has built a loyal following on the strength of their fit, finish, and on water performance across their sport boat and express cruiser lineup.
The 280SS is one of Formula's most popular Sport Sedan models, pairing a deep V hull with twin engine power and a cuddy cabin layout that gives you a comfortable place to get out of the elements or store gear without sacrificing cockpit space. The Bravo 3 duo prop drives deliver a smooth, confidence inspiring ride that the 280SS is well known for.
This particular 280SS is about as clean as they come for a 2001 with just 306 original hours. It has been stored indoors in heated storage every winter since new and the maintenance history backs it up. Steering ram, cables, sea pumps, bellows and drives have all been recently serviced and it received its first ever bottom paint in 2023. Drive service was completed in March 2026 and it is ready for the season. Mooring and winter covers included.
