Designed by Gordon K. (Sandy) Douglass and built since 1958 by a number of manufactures, the Flying Scot remains a popular day sailor for family fun and is sailed in one-design fleets around the country. The built quality is the best and will take a beating. It is a one-owner boat & has always been stored indoors. She is a centerboard dinghy that provides great windward performance yet can be beached and easily launched and retrieved off of most any ramp. The trailer tongue can be removed to store boat in a smaller indoor place. She carries a main, jib and spinnaker on a mast that is deck stepped. The mast is hinged for assistance from the trailer winch to raise the mast. The shrouds were replaced in 2014 and the running rigging was replaced in 2020.The Scot is very stable and fun to sail. This boat is in excellent condition with lots of extras that make her a perfect ready-to-go package.
