This 1995 Farr 38' Extended is built for blue water sailing. Farr designs have become legendary in the offshore racing and crusing worlds.Yachts designed by Farr Yacht Design have won the Whitebread Round the World Race (aka Volvo Ocean Race) in '86, '90, '94,98 and a total of 40 World Championships. Sloop-rigged Santana is no different. It was built in Cape Town in 1995 to withstand the infamous seas and winds off the Cape of Good Hope. Santana'sspeed and ease of handling have also won it many respectable places while racing off the coast of Florida.
The second and current owner has relocated it to the fresh water of Lake Tahoe. He has added many upgrades including a NuTeak floor, new interior cushions, new electric head with macerator, Horizon Charplotter w/GPS, roller furling headsail, and a new microwave. The engine was fully removed and reconditioned in 2013. Her most recent survey appointed her to be in 'BUC' condition with a fair market value of $106,000.
