SEL DE MER is Hull #1 of the Pacific Seacraft-built Ericson 380. The design had previously been built by Ericson Yachts and was known as the Ericson 38-200, a design recognized for its fine lines, robust construction, well-balanced hull, and lively and sure-footed performance under sail. SEL DE MER has had only two owners. She has an attractive three-cabin layout with an aft double owner's cabin and a separate shower stall with seat in the head. She is equally at home in weekend racing or extended coastal cruising and has delivered her owners safely over hundreds of miles of coastal sailing off the coast of New England and New York. SEL DE MER is on a mooring in Padanarum, MA on Buzzards Bay and may be easily inspected.

Can accommodate up to seven.  V berth forward with filler cushion. Drawer storage and lockers below. Seat to starboard, hanging lockers both port and starboard. Drawer storage along centerline below berth. Main cabin next aft with U-shaped dinette to port, settee opposite to starboard. aft-facing nav station aft of port settee. Shelves and lockers outboard of settee and dinette. Galley next aft to port. Aft of galley is private double cabin.  Aft of settee and nav station to port is a private head with separate shower stall with seat. Head has a Jabsco electric flush toilet, new in 2024, and a macerator. Custom-made curtains for all ports. Weems & Plath brass bulkhead-mounted clock and barometer. Gimballed brass bulkhead-mounted miner's lamp.

Galley

L-shaped galley features ENO two-burner, stainless steel, gimballed propane stove (2021) , ice box, and double stainless steel sinks with pressurized hot and cold water.

Electrical

12 volt DC and 110 volt AC dockside systems. 12 volt system includes two Group 31 volt batteries, both new in 2022, battery selector switch, and circuit breaker distribution panel. 110 volt AC system includes shore power cord and circuit breaker panel.

Electronics and Navigation

B&G Vulcan 7" chartplotter/GPS, upgraded and installed in 2025. Autohelm ST4000 autopilot (motor replaced in 2017), Standard Horizon Matrix GX 2150 VHF radio transceiver with AIS reception. Datamarine apparent windspeed/direction indicator. Ritchie SP-5 pedestal-mounted compass (2022).

Engine and Mechanical

Engine rebuilt in 2003. Two blade folding bronze propeller.

Hull and Deck

Fin "delta" keel and spade rudder. Bow anchor roller, foredeck anchor locker, solar vent over forward cabin. Double lifelines, boarding gates port and starboard, stainless steel transom-mounted swim ladder. Cockpit "perch" or observation seats, port and starboard. Pedestal wheel steering. 

Sails and Rigging

Painted double-spreader keel-stepped mast. Harken roller furling system for headsails. Sail inventory includes: Precision mainsail (2018) and Precision roller-furling 135% genoa (2018), both in good condition. 2015 mainsail and 2017 lightweight 110% racing genoa, both worn, but suitable as back-up. Lazy jacks for mainsail. Solid boom vang. Coachroof-mounted mainsheet traveler. Lewmar winch inventory includes: two #52 self-tailing genoa sheet primary winches, one #30 self-tailing winch on port coachroof, one #16 self-tailing winch and one #30 self-tailing winch on starboard coachroof. Line clutches for three lines on coachroof.

Additional Inventory

Custom designed blue dodger, bimini, mainsail cover, and binnacle cover. Edson teak cockpit table and plastic drink holder. Plastic outboard motor holder mounted on stern rail. 35 lb. CQR plow anchor with 12' chain and 250' nylon rode. Backup anchor. Manual and Rule auto electric bilge pumps. Assorted docklines and fenders. Three inflatable PFDs, good condition with functioning canisters, 6 recreational PFDs, sea-anchor, functioning flares, Sirius Signal SOS Distress Light.
