Designed as a high performance cruiser, the Ericson 38 radiates a feeling of sleek, graceful motion. The rig is tall, but is ICW friendly, for excellent speed in light to moderate winds. Areodynamically superior double spreaders also create a narrow shroud base which abets weatherly performance by favoring a tight sheeting angle . Mast, boom, winches, halyards systems and running rigging are configured for short handed sailing .
